Over the past few years, we have heard students share about what makes us human, what your perspectives are, what you define as movement, what reflection means to you, and the important moments in your life.
Our theme, "Becoming," is purposely open-ended, and the only requirement is that your performance connects back to it. You are welcome to choose any form of expression for your performance (talking, poetry, singing, dancing, etc.) and be as creative as you like. Performances do not have to center around a one-of-a-kind, life-changing event. Performers in the past have talked topics ranging from their personal journeys learning to open up with others to their family's weekly Friday night dinners.
Irvine Talks Chapter VII will take place in Spring 2024.
Auditions will take place on:
-November 9th at Irvine High School Outdoor Amphitheater
-November 11th at Turtle Rock Community Park
*Dates and locations are subject to change
For your audition, you will only present 2 - 4 minutes of your final piece. Your speech does not need to be completely memorized and you can use a script to reference. If you have any questions please leave them on this form or email irvinetalks@gmail.com.
Audition form will close at 11:59 pm on November 3rd and the audition schedule will be sent out on November 4th.
